On May 5th, Waxploitation will release a compilation disc, Causes 2, as part of their ongoing benefit series for the crisis in Darfur. 100% of the profits from the release go to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières, Human Rights Watch and Oxfam America. The original Causes was released in 2007 and was quite the success due to fantastic contributions from some of indie's finest, and from what I've heard, this one will be just as solid.
In addition to supporting a good cause (pun not intended), you'll also be getting some quality tunes including rare and exclusive music from artists such as Black Moth Super Rainbow, The Decemberists, Devendra Banhart, Gnarls Barkley, LCD Soundsystem, My Morning Jacket, Matthew Dear, Neon Neon, and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings.
For more information on the release and the cause itself - check out Waxploitation.
