Willowz frontman assembles "all-star" cast for solo record

Richie James Follin, leader of indie band Willowz, is releasing his solo debut on April 7th with a little help from his friends. Battle will feature contributions from Dan Horne of Beachwood Sparks, Juan Paul Cabellero from Dios Malos, Taylor Goldsmith of Band of Horses, Luke Paquin of Hot Hot Heat, Loren Humphrey, Christof Certik from Winter Flowers, and Jennifer Argenti. Apparently, Dan Horne threw a BBQ at his house on Independence Day of last year and over chicken and ribs, Battle was created.

You can get a taste for the album by downloading "Host" below, a classic, singer/songwriter tune that I've been listening to quite a bit recently. The album will be available at richiejamesfollin.com and through iTunes, though ordering through the website allows you to purchase the album on CD and vinyl as well as signing up for a year subscription to get downloads and additional tracks throughout the year (including a live DVD).

Amen to that. I'm miserable all the time too, so I think I would have gotten along quit well with Richey.
